Description

This ABCeeds large purple passionfruit line is selected for larger purple-skinned fruit with abundant juicy pulp. As with other seed-grown passionfruit, individual vines can differ in fruit quality and productivity.

Growing Conditions

Grow in full sun on a sturdy support. Provide compost-enriched, well-drained soil, regular water while growing and shelter from damaging frost.

Seed Propagation

1. Soak seeds in room-temperature water for approximately 24 hours before sowing.
2. Sow approximately 5–10 mm deep in free-draining seed-raising mix.
3. Keep warm (approximately 20–30°C) and evenly moist, never waterlogged.
4. Allow several weeks or longer for germination; seedlings may emerge at different times.
5. Once seedlings are well established, gradually introduce them to their growing position and provide climbing support.
