Description:
Acacia falcata, commonly known as the Sickle Leaf Wattle, is a stunning native shrub or small tree, perfect for bushland regeneration, native gardens, or wildlife habitats. This versatile plant is prized for its gracefully curved, sickle-shaped foliage and delicate cream flowers, bringing texture and beauty to any landscape. It also plays a vital role in supporting local ecosystems, attracting birds and butterflies and serving as a host plant for the imperial hairstreak butterfly (Jalmenus evagoras).
This hardy species typically grows 2–5 metres tall and about 1 metre wide, with a slightly arching or weeping habit. Adaptable to most soil types, it is an excellent choice for bushland regeneration and soil stabilisation projects, thanks to its nitrogen-fixing ability.
