Germination method:
- Fill a large pot with a light seed-raising mix with 30% perlite.
- Plant the seeds 1 ½ – 2 cm apart. Push seeds just under the surface.
- Keep moist but not wet in a warm position.
- For large amounts of seed, plant seeds in a styrofoam box with drainage holes at the base and keep in a warm position. As Alloxylon flammeum has a deep taproot, it has plenty of room to grow larger in a foam box. You can cover the top of the box with chickenwire if there is concern about rats getting to the plants.
