Description
Delonix regia – Orange Fire Poinciana
Family: Fabaceae
Packet Size: 10 seeds
Description
Orange Fire Poinciana is an orange-flowering parent selection of the famous Delonix regia, a tropical ornamental originating from Madagascar. Large flower clusters rise above delicate fern-like leaves, bringing brilliant seasonal colour to the landscape.
In warm conditions poincianas become handsome, broadly spreading trees with a distinctive horizontal branch structure. They can shed leaves in cooler or drier weather before the next growth flush.

Seed-Grown Variation

Growing Note
Allow ample space for an extensive root system and spreading crown; check local planting suitability.
Germination advice: These instructions are a recommended guide. Germination results and timing may vary depending on seed freshness, storage, temperature and growing conditions. Alternative propagation methods may also be successful.
