Description
Livistona chinensis – Chinese Fan Palm
Family: Arecaceae
Packet Size: 5 Seeds
Description
Chinese Fan Palm is native to East Asia and is admired for its broad, pleated, almost circular leaves with long, gracefully drooping leaflet tips. The attractive fountain-like foliage creates a soft outline despite the palm’s strong upright form.
Plants develop a single trunk as they mature and suit warm gardens with space for a tall fan palm. This introduced ornamental should be planted responsibly, as its fruit can be dispersed beyond cultivation in some warm climates.

Growing Note
Check local planting and biosecurity guidance because introduced ornamental palms can naturalise in suitable climates.
Germination advice: These instructions are a recommended guide. Germination results and timing may vary depending on seed freshness, storage, temperature and growing conditions. Alternative propagation methods may also be successful.
